Pinguicula moranensis x ehlersiae

Pinguicula moranensis x ehlersiae

Like a little warrior this Pinguicula hybrid thrusts out its flower, as if to ward off attack. Its shield bears a crest of lively pink with a slight blue overtone. at the bloom's center a white flash emanates from the throat and cascades down the lower portion of the fused corona.  It's white on the background of the corona's early evening tones is like the star of Bethlehem cleaving the night sky, leading us on to something special.

Her body is armored with diamond shaped leaves that shimmer like the finest mail. Also like a fine suit of chain mail, their arrangement is careful and precise.  Her natural red color hardens to a bronze in the high sun, as she fights her battle with Mother Nature in my apartment.
